As the price of both tuition and textbooks rises dramatically, students, educators, and even legislators are increasingly turning to Open Educational Resources (OER) for a more sustainable alternative. Institutions interested in launching an OER initiative must consider:

• How to plan an OER initiative, including securing funding, finding campus partnerships, and sustainability
• Where to find existing OER materials on campus
• Technical and support needs for the new materials
