A Partnership for Success

Consulting Services is a key resource in the launch and growth of your repository. They are there to provide you and your team with unlimited training, collection planning and support, and the practical day-to-day tools to achieve your vision for your institutional repository. Consulting Services has extensive knowledge of the Digital Commons platform and best practices to help with matters both technical and non-technical.

A Dedicated Consultant

As a subscriber, you work with a dedicated Consultant who gets to know the long-term needs and goals for your site and what makes it unique. Each Consultant is part of a smaller team within Consulting Services who will be familiar with your repository and can assist if your regular Consultant is unavailable for any reason.

When to Contact Your Consultant

For anything! Your Consultant is your resource for any questions or assistance you may need for your repository. Your Consultant can offer trainings for yourself as well as others on your team, and are available to help with:

  • Site organization

  • Customizing collections, metadata, and submission workflows
  • Design needs for journals or events
  • Visual enhancements such as slideshows and plug-ins
  • Technical changes that may not be available via administrator configurations

In other words, your Consultant is there to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
