I am thrilled to personally announce what some of you have already seen: bepress has joined Elsevier, the largest content provider in the world.
After many conversations with Elsevier’s team, I am confident that this is the right choice for bepress and for our community. Both parties are committed to sustaining the elements that make bepress bepress, and supporting your open access initiatives.
We will continue to offer the same level of unlimited support, storage, and publishing capabilities. We retain our commitment to keeping control of scholarship within the institution that produced it. And we will offer the same, stable pricing model for new and existing customers.
At the same time, I am incredibly excited about the new potential for change. I am especially eager for the opportunity to leverage the skill and expertise of the teams that develop and support Elsevier products. We see possibilities for increased integration with campus systems, and more access to metrics and other data from partners including Plum Analytics, Scopus, and SSRN.
