For over five years, the University of Montana’s ScholarWorks repository has been showcasing the research, creative work, and institutional materials curated by University of Montana faculty, students, and staff. ScholarWorks makes these resources easier to find, share, and use, but building momentum across campus has taken time and talent.
In this webinar, Wendy Walker, Digital Initiatives Librarian at the University of Montana, provides a retrospective of over five years’ experience managing an institutional repository. Wendy shares her experiences assessing and prioritizing her campus’s needs, including practical tips for:
-Communicating with a variety of stakeholders throughout the university
-Managing differences across disciplines
-Understanding and working with individual faculty personalities
-Staffing and determining project-specific responsibilities
